Catato?!

Catato?! is our entry for the Brackeys Game Jam 2026.1 with the theme Strange Places.

This is our take on a unique farming sim where the goal is to create crop hybrids by planting different crops next to existing ones. If you solve the planting mini-games correctly, the chances of generating new crops are higher.

To fit the theme of the jam, these new mutations get weirder and weirder... If you generate enough weird mutations, you might just get transported to a new world...

We hope you enjoy Catato?!. We had a lot of fun creating this entry but, as it goes in these events, plenty of our ideas are missing from the final build and there's some bugs that we didn't have time to fix.

All of the assets were created for this jam, except for a few sound effects taken from Pixabay. No AI used.

All programming (and some sfx) was done by jpiolho.

All music was composed by Saca.

All art assets, sprites, and UI were drawn by SaraFilipa.

Game design and testing were a collaborative effort.
